It was lovely on Saturday morning and we got a lot done at the Bee Garden and Fernery. For those who may not know where this is, it is half was along the footpath between Stone Hill and the High Street, not far from the pond.
This is our third project here this year and there is quite a difference from how it started.
This week we cleared out all the ground elder in the front beds and created a new bed at the back by clearing fallen tree logs and clearing off ivy to allow more light. In the new bed we cleared the ground and planted two new multi stem Hazels.
We also found two empty nest boxes which had fallen down, so we have taken those away to repair and replace.
This is how it looked in February This is how its looking now
