25th April 2026 – Post Office Verge Garden – One Stop Planters and Kepwick Garden and Hedgerow

Our Parish Council has given us a grant to cultivate and plant up the small garden outside the Post Office and the planters outside One Stop.
Following previous visits to prepare the ground, Lesley and Barry led the work on Saturday morning to plant up both areas, with space for more to be added when they are ready. We will keep an eye on the new plants to keep them watered and have also asked the shop managers to do the same, but if you see they look a bit dry please help too.
We also continued our work on the garden area and hedge row in Kepwick, led by Roger.
Once again it was nice to get so many encouraging comments from people passing by.
Barry and Gareth preparing to get planting
Kepwick as it was when we started and much tidier afterwards
Plants lined up ready to go with all hands to the pumps to get them in
Working under Lesley’s direction and finished, ready to grow into  the space
