Open Gardens 2022

Open Gardens returns for 2022

TMAEG Open Gardens

This is an invitation for you to join us for the Two Mile Ash Open Gardens 2022, which will take place over the weekend 11-12th June, 1-5 pm.

This will be the 5th Open Gardens and will include;

21 Gardens and environmental projects that reflect the character and interests of their creators.  Also includes;

  • Stonehill Allotments,
  • Community Garden,
  • Bluebell Circuit,
  • Bee Garden and Fernery,
  • Twin Gardens extension/Park Gateway,
  • Radcote Lodge.

A full list of the Open Gardens 2022  is found here:

Remember, this is not a competition. There is huge variety in Two Mile Ash and these gardens reflect this, quirky or immaculate.

It is amazing what people have achieved following their own particular vision – we know that two years of virtual lockdown have provided the opportunity for transforming a dull garden into a very special place. Maybe flowers have given way to fruit and vegetables?

For the visitor, this variety is the joy of Open Gardens.

The Open Gardens Yellow Passports will be coming through your door – watch out for yours!

The Yellow Passports are also available free at Bargain Booze Select Convenience, Hair Culture, Maria’s Fish Bar,  TMA Dental and Implant Clinic, Odell’s Hardware (Stony Stratford) and from gardens on the day.

When stamped at the first garden (£3 per person, under 14s free), the Yellow Passport grants you admission to all the gardens over the weekend.

Open Gardens has been sponsored by:

  • Abbey Hill Parish Council,
  • Bargain Booze Select Convenience,
  • Hair Culture,
  • Maria’s Fish Bar,
  • TMA Dental and Implant Clinic.

If you go to our website www.tmaeg.org and click on Open Gardens, you may find answers to any questions you may have.

Our Questions and Answers page stresses that this is not a competition with prizes; rather it is planned as a highlight of the Two Mile Ash year to celebrate our gardens and the creativity of our gardeners. Our Q & As also cover many detailed points that potential entrants to Open Gardens will wish to know about – such as the scope for running a charity event – and it invites other residents to take part in the programme in various ways.

Intro2Our Gallery page shows views of gardens that were put on display in previous Open Gardens. Taken together, they illustrate the sheer variety of our gardens and they should provide plenty of ideas for the Open Gardeners of 2018 to pursue and develop.
